Once again, Jim Casey, volunteer, has taken responsibility for this program. Thank you Jim! This year Jim collected $400.00. Your support and kindness is greatly appreciated.

     The clients employed at the Button Shop would like to thank you for your support of their candy cone drive. Your generosity is very much appreciated!

Respite Payroll

     As you are aware the Vera Perlin Society is a non-profit, charitable organization which provides services and supports to individuals living with a developmental disability.
     As a charity we are always looking at new ways to generate revenue in order to support the services we offer. One area we are actively trying to develop is our Respite Payroll Service. We offer administration of payroll to individuals who require respite care.
     The payroll service is a benefit to the individuals who receive the respite funding as they do not have to worry about the administration or funding of the payroll. The Vera Perlin Charitable Foundation will also benefit as any revenues generated from doing this service are redirected to the programs we offer and then in turn benefit all clients of The Vera Perlin Society.
     This letter is to ask you to consider having the Vera Perlin Charitable Foundation as your payroll service provider. We currently administer a professional, dependable payroll service and would like the opportunity to do yours.
     For additional information on this service you can call Mavis Roberts at the Vera Perlin Society’s Head Office, 739-6017, or you could reach Mavis via e-mail, payroll@veraperlinsociety.ca.
     We would appreciate your consideration to provide your payroll services.

Dessert Party

     Many thanks for your support of the Dessert Party which was held on November 3rd at the Knights of Columbus. It was a great success and the desserts were delicious. Many thanks to those of you who attended, donated prizes for the raffle, purchased raffle tickets, or volunteered at the event. The winner of the Sip & Scratch was claimed by Mr. Wayne Furlong of the Knights of Columbus. We really appreciate the support. The winning raffle numbers were as follows;

Merry Christmas

     The Christmas Season is a special time for remembering old traditions and starting new ones. As the holiday season quickly approaches we fondly reminisce about family, friends and loved ones. One of the joys of the season is the opportunity to say, thank you.
     During the Christmas Season our thoughts are of everyone who have contributed to making our progress possible. The lasting success of our program could not be what it is today without the generous support of our good friends and donors. Your commitment has allowed our programs to continue to grow and prosper.
     Our clients and programs are the greatest source of pride to us. As we continue our tradition of building and strengthening quality programs, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and providing the best possible service, we look forward to working together with you and sharing exciting new ideas and challenges in the coming new year.
     May this Christmas end the present year on a cheerful note and make way for a fresh and bright new year.
     In the spirit of the season, the Board of Directors, Executive Director, Management, Staff and Clients of the Vera Perlin Society, would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families, the very best for the Christmas holidays and the coming New Year.

     Merry Christmas!
