Easter Sweep

Once again we are kindly seeking your support with our Easter Basket Draw. Based on the tremendous success and the positive comments from parents last year, in lieu of the card parties we plan to have an Easter Basket Draw. However that same success is contingent upon your support. The draw will take place on Thursday, March 29th, 2018 at the Perlin Centre.
We would appreciate if you could assist us by either making a donation of a prize (Drinks, spirits, water etc.), gift cards or anything that could be considered as a prize. The continued success of our program is dependent upon the support of our parents/guardians, volunteers and community sponsors. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Tickets on the Basket have been sent home. Please check with your son/daughter for these tickets.
Many thanks for your continued support of our programs.

Respite Payroll

As you are aware the Vera Perlin Society is a non-profit, charitable organization which provides services and supports to individuals living with a developmental disability.
As a charity we are always looking at new ways to generate revenue in order to support the services we offer. One area we are actively trying to develop is our Respite Payroll Service. We offer administration of payroll to individuals who require respite care.
The payroll service is a benefit to the individuals who receive the respite funding as they do not have to worry about the administration or funding of the payroll. The Vera Perlin Charitable Foundation will also benefit as any revenues generated from doing this service are redirected to the programs we offer and then in turn benefit all clients of The Vera Perlin Society.
We ask you to consider having the Vera Perlin Charitable Foundation as your payroll service provider. We currently administer a professional, dependable payroll service to approximately 40 clients and would like the opportunity to do yours.
For additional information on this service you can call Mavis Pearlman at the Vera Perlin Society’s Head Office, 739-6017, or you could reach Mavis via e-mail,
We would appreciate your consideration to provide your payroll services.

Easter Candy Cones

The Button Shop is in the process of making Easter Candy Carrot Cones. The carrot cones are $4.00 each and the deadline for ordering is Friday, March 9th. Why not do your candy shopping with us and support the clients employed at the Button Shop?

On Friday, March 16th the Vera Perlin Society and Special Olympics St. John’s will host a St. Patrick’s Day dance at St. Teresa’s Parish Hall on Mundy Pond Road.
